Alfie Davison - Love Is A Serious Business Mercury Demo Scroll down for audio controls A true seventies soul classic that is rare to find on its original Mercury label and even rarer on a demo. A slight drawback on this demo is that the sound quality for about the first 20 to 30 seconds on both sides is not at its best. After the opening 30 seconds both sides play perfectly. The vinyl looks VG+ on one side and Ex on the other, the labels have no tears but have a slight ''dirty'' film across them if you hold them up to the light - but then again it is 26 years old. I have included an audio clip of both sides for the first two minutes so that you can judge the sound quality for yourself - what you hear is what you get. I have tried to a gentle clean with warm water and a soft cloth but it has not changed anything. A professional clean might help. Take a listen - its still very playable.
