Description
I have collected records since I was very young, however Iincreasingly I have realised that I have far too many, and soI have been slowly trying to rationalise my extensive collection over the years, I have sold many major rarities over the years, from major BEATLES and 60s rarities, through PUNK and PROG ROCK, CLASSICAL and BLUES. Basically I've had alot of very rare records and in dribs and drabs have sold them off. I've never had negative feedback, and had many repeat customers. I will only post completely insured and tracked.
This week I'm selling many Beatles/Kinks/Yardbirds Etc. 7" rarities.
Here we have the very rare UK 7" pressing of ALEXIS KORNER'S River's Invitation b/w Everyday (I Have The Blues). Alexis Korner is well known for being one of the fathers (if not THE father) of the British Blues, soon to become Beat-scene, having had members of almost every London based Blues band in his ranks at some point! This record is no exception featuring a young DANNY THOMPSON (of PENTANGLE/JOHN MARTYN/RICHARD THOMPSON in fact I'm going to stop there as he's played with almost everybody!) fame! Lovely double-bass work on this one too!
This is a very sought after MOD/UK BLUES record, and does not come up at all often! You might be waiting some time before you get another oportunity to get hold of this one!
RECORD CONDITION: VG+/EX-, a lovely copy with a lovely lustre, with just a small light surface scuff near the end of side one, not affecting play at all, and only really visible when angled into light. When angled into direct strong light, a few very light withdrawl hairlines are visible aswell, but there is again, nothing to affect play. This is a well cared for record
RECORD LABELS: VG+/EX-, similar condition to the record, very slight rub has made slight patches of these original textured labels become a tiny bit darker, including a few very light spindle trails around the central spindle hole, mainly visible when angled into direct light. They have been very well looked after indeed, and are perfectly clean, completely free from grafitti/stains etc. etc. etc.
SLEEVE CONDITION: EX, pretty much untouched, his sleeve has almost never even been handled! Completely free of stains/grafitti/tears/nicks, ever edge is as crisp as the day it was made! Beautiful!
