Description
ALESSANDRO MORESCHI SINGS & CONDUCTS ORIGINAL VATICAN G&T 1904
You are bidding on a superb original 1904 Vatican G&T of the last of the castrati Professor Alessandro Moreschi. This is a 12-in. disc in very good condition. There is a little scuffing but very little wear.
Although the label states only that he conducts the piece a castrato who sounds just like Moreschi sings throughout. It is surely he. Who else could it be?
Some of the marks you can see on the label scan are etchings on the original wax master below the label.
I have extensive experience of packing 78s for the mails. This will be lovingly packed in a strong box and safe receipt is assured. Shipping will be at exact postal cost. As careful packing cannot be scrimped, the winning bidder should allow for the shipping cost to be around $20.00 to the US. UK and Europe please ask for estimated cost. Please note: eBay's maximum allowed shipping cost of $4.00 cannot apply to this item.
