Due to financial circumstances I find I'm having to part with some of my treasured vinyl rarities. The four records I'm putting up for sale at the moment are all from bands I was in myself, namely The Mothmen and Alberto Y Lost Trios Paranoias.
This 12" white label is a cleaned up version of the Snuff Rock EP intended exclusively for radio promotion. Hence the so-called "offensive language" contained in the original mixes of "Gobbin' On Life" and "Kill!" has been replaced by more radio-friendly fodder and as a result the mixes are slightly different from the originals. The EP includes a full-colour insert (see picture) featuring the late great Les Prior in his role as the manic deejay from the "Sleak!" show. Anyone who's old enough to remember the show will probably agree that Les was the best thing in it. The insert also contains the following text:
This E.P. is as pure as the driven snow and has been neutered specifically for all you lucky people in radioland. Its the Albertos Snuff Rock E.P. With tunes from their hit show Sleak? Tarted up to be playable and who knows what might happen to the housewives of Britain if their minds are taken over by Gobbin' On Life.
The record is in very good condition considering that it's 34 years old; it does show some very minor signs of wear but plays perfectly.
