UP NEXT - A WEEK'S WORTH OF GOOD JAZZ LPS! This is a reasonably priced ORIGINAL 1965 U.S. ESP DISK FREE JAZZ LP titled 'Spiritual Unity' from The Albert Ayler Trio. It is U.S. ESP Disk catalog number MPS 1002, monaural. This album was recorded July 10, 1964 in New York City. Personnel: Albert Ayler-saxophone / Gary Peacock-bass / Sunny Murray-percussion. Tracks: Ghosts: First Variation, The Wizard, Spirits, Ghosts: Second Variation. Visual condition of record is a mid VG+ with some visible surface marks which cannot be felt and will not affect play. There is one small pit in the play surface on one side, this is a slight manufacturing defect which will cause a couple of barely noticeable background bumping sounds on a couple of revolutions, no skips. Condition of cover could be a bit better at G+/VG- - As can be seen in the accompanying image the right side of the cover has been exposed to moisture and has some damage and discoloration extending in about 1-1/2" on the right side of the front cover and about 3" on the left side of the back cover, I have done my best to clean this up. There is also a 3" split in the right side of the top edge and a 1-1/2" split in the right side of the bottom edge, I have carefully and neatly repaired these splits by taping from the inside. Cover also has some general contact and ring wear and some general wear along the edges and on the corners. This LP would be an inexpensive way to add a good playing copy of this scarce and normally pricey piece to your free jazz record collection!
