Description
This is an auction for a rare LP by the Alan Skidmore Quintet, Once Upon A Time. Check pics for track listing.
This was released by Deram Nova Records in 1969 or 1970 and has catalogue number DN11. I am a little confused with this one, let me explain. This is a mono pressing with the date 1970 on the rear bottom edge of the sleeve and the date 1969 on the label. Record Collector has no mention of a Mono pressing for this record and considering the value of the stereo one is 150 pounds and the fact this was pressed in either 1969 or 1970 should mean that the mono copy would infact be some what rarer than its stereo counterpart. Most records in 1969 or 1970 were certainly pressed in stereo. The fact that it does not give two valuations for this record, even if the mono copy was only 12 pounds, leads me to believe that either RC have missed this and that it may infact be a very rare item indeed, so its existence is confirmed. All that said I honestly don't know it may be common even though I have never seen one before, so please check the pictures for clarification.

Condition: The sleeve has a few discolour marks on the rear, a few lamination creases and buffing to the bottom edge and very corners. Spine ex, no tears, bends or creases, lamination at mouth ex, Please check the pictures for clarification a nice sleeve and graded at VG+.
This comes with its original patent Mono red and white inner sleeve which is in fine condition.
Labels: Both labels are clean and look brand new, under closer examination only one spider spindle trail can be seen on each side The centre hole is perfect and shows no signs of wear.
Vinyl- both sides retain there brand new shine, under the closest of examinations no scratches can be seen. There are a few cleanable dust marks. This one is as good as you can find it having been played once only. The vinyl is immaculate and brand new. This plays with no lessening in sound quality whatsoever.
The vinyl for this is graded at Mint.
I hope this is as rare as I think it may be, if so a must for any serious collector in mint.
