Description

The record you are considering is a ORIGINAL 1967 US RARE MONO PROMO copy of AL GREEN's debut LP titled "Back Up Train".

LABEL- HOT LINE MUSIC JOURNAL Records, 1500, distributed by BELL Records.

Much of the record was either written or co-written by the album's producers, Palmer E. James and Curtis Rodgers, who were not just part of Hot Line Records, but in the Creations, Green's previous backing band. ALLMUSIC

TRACKS
SIDE 1- "Back Up Train", "Hot Wire", "Stop and Check Myself"(Green), "Let Me Help You", "I'm Reachin' Out", "Don't Hurt Me No More".
SIDE 2- "Don't Leave Me", "What's It All About", "I'll Be Good to You", "Guilty", "That's All It Takes (Lady)", "Get Yourself Together".

CONDITION:
Cover is at less a Nice VG+, Hint of ring and corner wear. Edges are strong, beautiful, except 1/2in. tear top open side, 1/2in crack in paper top seam. Seam has stereo number top of seam, mono number bottom of seam. Large MONO PROMO sticker on front of a STEREO cover. They probably didn't make MONO covers.
Vinyl looks a VG++, one light mark and some of the tiniest hairlines, plays with a few random light ticks and pops. Side two dips into the vg+ range on the second song. Very ENJOYABLE copy!!

R&B, SOUL, FUNK, BLUES, JAZZ, COMEDY, GOSPEL and related items!!! Other than the SOUL and R&B, they were played likely once or twice!!
