Die Aheads waren eine deutsche Punkband aus der ostwestfälischen Stadt Herford in Nordrhein-Westfalen. Mit ihrem Sound begeisterte die Band um den ehemaligen britischen Soldaten Andy Stillon unter anderem so bekannte Punkbands wie die Dead Kennedys. Die Aheads waren mit zwei Titeln auf der legendären "Soundtracks zum Untergang"-Compilation (1980, mit Slime, ZK, Razors, Hass, Middle Class Fantasies u.a.) vertreten.

Dies ist die selbstproduzierte (Private Pressing), nummerierte (nur 1000 Singles wurden gepresst!), original erste Single (EP) der Aheads.
Eine der ersten selbstproduzierten Punk-Singles in Deutschland.
Totaler Pionier-Punk Klassiker.

Das Vinyl ist in einem guten Zustand - lediglich leichte Geräusche, nur hörbar in den Leerrillen und in leisen Passagen. Keine Kratzer. (E-)
Das Cover wurde von mir restauriert und weist an einigen wenigen Stellen leichte und kleine Abrisse auf (s. Fotos). (VG-)

The Aheads were a German punk band from the East Westphalian town of Herford in North Rhine-Westphalia. With their sound, the band, led by former British soldier Andy Stillon, inspired such well-known punk bands as the Dead Kennedys. The Aheads were featured with two tracks on the legendary "Soundtracks to Doom" compilation (1980, with Slime, ZK, Razors, Hass, Middle Class Fantasies, and others). This is the self-produced (private pressing), numbered (only 1,000 singles were pressed!), original first single (EP) by the Aheads. One of the first self-produced punk singles in Germany. A true pioneering punk classic. Absolutely amazing!!! Very rare piece, Limited Edition (No. 0881), with a brilliant trifold cover, influences from Wire and pogo punk... Tracks: Freedom Of Speech/No Idea/Fairytale From Reality/In, Down, Out, Up Alfred Hilsberg wrote in "Rock Session 4": "A surprisingly well-made product from the provinces." The vinyl is in good condition - only slight noise, audible only in the empty grooves and in quiet passages. No scratches. (E-) The cover was restored by me and has a few minor tears (see photos). (VG-) This could be your only chance to get this rarity. I'm offering the record below market value - given the less than perfect condition of the cover.
