Although she had made a name for herself as a solo artist in Sweden, Agnetha Fältskog will always be best known as one-fourth of ABBA, one of the most commercially successful and internationally beloved pop acts of all time.
Agnetha Fältskog vol. 2 featured 2 compositions by Fältskog herself. "Zigenarvän" became the biggest hit, but its overly romantic lyrics about gypsies also became the source of controversy. A large part of the songs on this album were written by Agnetha's fiancé at the time, West German record producer Dieter Zimmermann who tried to launch her career in German speaking countries like West Germany, Switzerland & Austria. Fältskog released a total of 8 singles in the German language between the years 1969 & 1972, but her success was fairly limited.
This is the original issue; both sleeve and vinyl are graded Very Good+.
