Description
This is the rare first pressing of Affinity's first and only LP simply titled "AFFINITY" (6360 004) as released in 1970 on the collectable "spiral" Vertigo label. This LP is a must-have for any collector of Progressive Jazz Rock music or even collectors of the Vertigo label. The smooth textured gate-fold sleeve is super clean, square virtually almost new mint condition. Both record labels are spotlessly clean as can be seen in the pics and the labels look new with no spindle lines or wear, the black vinyl surfaces are also super clean and shiny with maybe one or two very light hairlines not affecting the sound which is clear and bright making this a very welcome addition to any progressive rock music collection. The band Affinity who featured Linda Hoyle on vocals are legends in the collecting world of psych progressive rock and this album is a true gem for fans of the genre. Whether you're a collector looking to add to your collection or a music lover looking to discover some of the best prog rock music of the 1970s, this album is sure to impress and indeed after the failure of this record in terms of sales the rest of the band went on to bigger things ie. Mo Foster became a very busy session player working with the likes Jeff Beck among many others, Grant Serpell had hits with the band Sailor, Lynton Naiff became a session player working with Queen and last but not least Linda Hoyle went on as a solo artist to record a second and equally brilliant album for Vertigo the fab "Pieces Of Me - 6360 060" with top notch musical backing from among others Chris Spedding and Karl Jenkins.
