AFFINITY LINDA HOYLE PROG PSYCH ROCK RARE UK VERTIGO LP 6360 004
Original and hard to find 1970 Vertigo Records UK LP Affinity, seven track album from the Linda Hoyle fronted psychedelic jazz-rock band, two tracks have arrangements by Led Zeppelin’s John Paul Jones. The gatefold sleeve is in very good condition (some light corner wear, has a very small paper pull on the front and a small felt tip mark on the back, see first and third scans), inner Vertigo swirl bag is in good condition. Spindle and labels are in superb condition. Vinyl is in very good condition, I can see light surface marking visible under sunlight and one more prominent hairline on side two but nothing more untoward than that. To my ears the LP doesn’t play quite as well as it looks (a few clicks/pops here and there), I would think a professional clean could help in that department. That said it’s a more than decent copy of a hard to find album and I’m sure it would be a very welcome addition to anyone’s record collection (Vertigo 6360 004).
