For sale is a rare collectible first pressing of Aerosmith’s debut album with the “Walkin The Dig” misprint and “acid bust” bio. Nice but what makes this an exceptionally rare copy is the promo timing strip on the back! There were no white label promo discs ever pressed for this so this is the promo copy of this album.

The sleeve and labels also say “Write Me” instead of the correct “Write Me a Letter”. The timing strip corrected Dig to Dog but did not correct the “Write Me” misprint.

This is the only copy with a timing strip I’ve ever seen in person and I’ve only ever seen a handful online.

Sleeve: VG-

Sleeve is solid…light ring wear…no real seam splits though there is some rubbing to top and bottom with a spot of exposed cardboard that is kind of a “split” on the top near the spine. Please see pics. Some soft corners and a corner flap of the black back slick above the titles has come unglued and has some wrinkling.

A small rectangle discoloration on the front where a sticker likely was- barely noticeable. Legible spine. Timing strip is in nice shape still fully affixed- a very small corner has come unglued but is still completely intact. Trying to detail every possible flaw.

All in all a very presentable and nice, very rare sleeve. See pics!

Disc: VG+

Glossy disc is a solid VG+ with a couple very faint superficial marks only when tilted under bright light. Very nice disc!

Labels are nice but there is a very small 225 written in black pen … difficult to see really. There are also a couple of spindle marks on side two that appear when tilted.

I grade conservatively and accurately according to Goldmine grading standards. In my experience unfortunately many sellers’ VG+ is my VG. I try to explain in detail any flaws so that you know exactly what you’re getting. No generic AI slop descriptions here.
