Paris-born artist Adi Oasis expands her 2023 breakthrough with a deluxe edition that doubles down on her strengths: thick basslines, radiant vocal layering, and a singular blend of funk, r&b and politically charged soul. Across these 20 tracks, the singer, producer and bassist refines her high-gloss, high-feel sound, now joined by a deeper bench of collaborators-Durand Bernarr, Samm Henshaw and Danielle Ponder among them. 'Dumpalltheguns' gains fresh potency in its Ponder-assisted reprise, while Luedji Luna brings lucid Portuguese verse to the reworked 'Multiply'. Other additions-like the Tentendo remix of 'Serena' and Young Franco's take on 'Naked'-channel a more clubwise energy without disrupting the record's emotive arc. There's still plenty of intimacy here: 'Sidonie' appears in a warm French-language version, and the return of opener 'Le Depart' with Bernarr feels earned rather than excessive. Where some deluxe editions feel bloated, this one feels generous-its expanded palette amplifying the personal and political messages at the heart of Adi's work.
