Description
Up for auction today is this rare copy of Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap by AC/DC. It is a rare second pressing, Australian import on the Albert Productions record label. It features the famous title track as well as other well known songs such as Big Balls and Jailbreak. This album features original singer Bon Scott and was released in 1977.
Vinyl Condition: I play graded the entire album through headphones and it features quiet background static between tracks and during quieter moments. Static does not interfere with the music however, which is dynamic and full with nice clear high end and rich low end. Disc retains nice gloss but has several light scuffs and hairline marks throughout. There is a light, quarter inch scratch that can be felt by finger on the last third of the final song on side one. Upon play grading it displayed no audible skip or pop. There is also a half inch scratch that can be felt by finger on the last half of the final song on side two. Upon play grading it displayed no skip but did reveal an audible pop as the stylus passed over it. This second pressing features the blue Albert Productions record label which is nice and clean with no tears or writing. There are no spindle marks. The label on side one does feature a one eighth inch split in the paper but is not loose. The spindle hole is not misshapen. Using the Goldmine record grading standards I believe this album to be VG to VG+ Please see photos. I attempted to include photos that best displayed the surface of the vinyl. Jacket Condition: This Australian import version of Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap features a different album cover than the European or American release and is composed of lightweight cardboard. There is only the slightest evidence of ringwear, mostly confined to the light colored area near the top of the jacket's front. There appears to be some areas of color loss on the lower right corner of the jacket but upon comparison with online photos it is simply a feature of the artwork. Overall the jacket retains nice bright colors and gloss. There are no seam splits but there is an inch long split in the first layer of paper along the top, as featured in the photos. There is very minimal edge and corner wear. The spine is fully legible but seems to have a bit of an indentation right where the name of the album is printed. There are no punch holes or cutouts. Using the Goldmine record grading standards I believe this jacket to be VG+ Please see photos. I encourage you to message me to request additional photos.
I have cleaned this record using my Spin Clean record cleaning system but would recommend additional cleaning prior to playing.
