About "A Passing Fancy":
To quote:
"Rare yet much beloved Canadian pop- psych record from 1968—an album considered by many to be the best to come out of Canada during the late 1960’s! Built around the talents of singer/guitarist Jay Tefler and bassist Fergus Hambleton, A Passing Fancy made their name in Toronto's vibrant Yorkville Village scene. That initial successes playing Toronto's club circuit led to a headlining stint at the 1967 Toronto Expo. The resulting publicity saw them "discovered" by Columbia Records, who subsequently released a string of four outstanding pop/psych singles. Here's where it gets weird. In spite of the four hit singles, Columbia elected not to release an album. Indie label Boo Records was formed to release "A Passing Fancy" on LP (the singles plus four additional tracks).
Although the LP received strong reviews, Boo Records couldn't sustain promotion; by the end of the year the band had called it quits. A shame, as it's a terrific album—tough edgy rock (slashing lead track and hit single, ‘I’m Losing Tonight’; pop/psych (singles tracks A Passing Fancy,’ You're Going Out Of Your Mind, and She Phoned; sunshine pop ‘I Believe in Sunshine; a great acid rock meltdown ‘Your TripÂ’. Something for everybody!"

Played rarely on a Rabco ST-4 linear tracking table with Shure V15-II (improved) cartridge at 2 grams.

- CONTINENTAL U.S.A. Shipping and Handling is via "Small Packet Air" (No tracking is available for this economical method). If you prefer tracking services, please contact me for a quote. Tracking is strongly recommended.
- INTERNATIONAL destinations are always shipped by Air. I strongly recommend tracking services, but you may choose between economical shipping (no tracking), or by expedited shipping with tracking. You must ask for rates first before you buy to avoid any surprises.
- I strongly recommend the purchase of tracking services for items of some worth.
- I will gladly combine-ship multiple items in order to help reduce the cost of shipping. Please ask for rates if you wish to purchase multiple items as the prices above will not apply.
- Any applicable taxes or duties for foreign shipments is the responsibility of the winning bidder.
- Realizing that record grading and condition is a judgement call, I am willing to accept returns.

PLEASE, READ CAREFULLY!
Records are graded to the best of my ability using the guidelines below, but I try to grade on the conservative side in order to avoid disputes between buyer and seller as to the condition of the record. Unless records are known to be mint (unused) they are auditioned only with high quality turntable and cartridge equipment, to help judge the condition. Grading does not completely take into account the condition of the cover or of the label. In case there is a major fault with the cover or label on a relatively rare record, I will try to describe such a fault.
(Note: any white outlines seen around the label in my photos are due to my scanner and do not actually exist)
MINT (M): I do not grade any vinyl as mint, unless it is factory sealed
NEAR MINT (NM): Nearly perfect. No obvious signs of wear. Record may have a cutout hole in this condition, and if so, it will be clearly seen in my photos.
EXCELLENT (EX): Shows that it has been played but still has original shine. Surface noise and faults are minimal.
VERY GOOD PLUS (VG+): Shows some wear with perhaps a slight greyness in some of the grooves. May have some light scratches or rubs. Surface noise is slight and will not overwhelm the music.
VERY GOOD (VG): Similar in condition as VG+, but defects and noise will be a bit more pronounced. Surface noise will be more evident during soft passages, and during the intro and fade. However, this will still not overpower the music. Labels may have been marred by writing or by attached labels or their residue.
GOOD PLUS (G+): Shows a fair amount of wear. Graying of the grooves is more pronounced. Multiple scratches and surface noises will be much more pronounced but record is still playable and listenable. Label may have some damage.
GOOD (G): Will have major faults such as digs, multiple scratches, needle runs, etc. Label may have a torn area. Center hole might show wear from multiple plays. However, the record will still be playable without skipping. In most cases I will not offer such a record for sale unless it is relatively rare.
