1 mint (never played on gramophone/phonograph). 1 is not used with us. (* N) 1-2 top copy, no traces of use - virtually as new. (* N-) 2 excellent copy, few light non-sounding rubs/marks. (* E+) 2-3 light traces of wear (rubs/marks), very light greying and/or very light scratches, non sounding blemishes. (* E) 3 a good average copy with more noticeable rubs and marks; light greying, few light scratches possible. (* E-) 3-4 more traces of use, sonic wear from light greying. An inferior average copy, light scratches possible. (* V+) 4 some sounding wear, heavier rubs and marks, scratches possible. (* V) 5 obvious sounding wear , heavy rubs, marks, scratches. An unsatisfactory copy. (* F) 6 unplayable wreck, only of documentary value. (* P) If the 2 sides of a disc are in different condition, the gradings will be separated by a slash.

All records are visually checked very carefully under strong light. Most of the records are also play-graded (not from beginning to end).
