We are back once again with yet another little handful of great rock & roll. There are FIVE in this set,and while some do display an odd surface mark here and there,I can assure you that they play and sound just fantastic. And they are; 1)Ricky Nelson-Believe What You Say/My Bucket`s Got A Hole In It 2)Laurie London-Cradle Rock/He`s Got The Whole Worl Ect 3)The Diamonds-Little darlin/Faithful & True 4)The Platters-Only You/The Great Pretender 5)Pat Boone-Tutti Fruitti/I`ll Be Home I never pass anything on unless I am satisfied that they are good enough,and believe me,these are really good. Demanding some incredibly high prices,even in not so good condition,this set of FIVE 78s can knock you back a pretty penny. No no,don`t go just yet,as you have not seen my asking price. Ricky does some cool rockabilly stlye sounds on this great 78 and young Laurie London clearly enjoys himself on Cradle rock. The Diamonds recorded Little Darlin`as a spoof,but it outsold the original one from Maurice Williams. The Platters are as cool as cool can possibly be on this Mercury two sided hit and country boy Pat Boone gives us his own verison of Little Richard`s Tutti Fruitti. Never dismiss Pat`s records,for although his versions of rock & roll songs were somewhat watered down,there is no doubt that his contribution to rock & roll is big.
