78 rpm- Set of three different pressings of Rhapsody In Blue- one of the most famous compositions of the 20th century. Composed in 1924 by George Gewshwin. This lot includes the following:
Victor 55225- Paul Whiteman Orchestra with George Gershwin at the piano. The original accoustic version recorded on 6/10/24. Record is in E- (excellent minus) condition
Victor 35822- Paul Whiteman Orchestra with George Gershwin at the piano. The original electric version recorded on 4/21/27. Record is in E- (excellent minus) condition
Victor 35822- Paul Whiteman Orchestra with George Gershwin at the piano. The original electric version recorded on 4/21/27. (later "round gold" label Record is in E (excellent) condition.
Rhapsody in Blue combined elements of jazz, 1920s popular, and classical music to effect, and still today be an unofficial anthem of New York City...
