ORIGINAL DEALER STOCK COPY!!!!!

Greetings fellow ebayers,

What I am offering up for auction here is a DEALER STOCK 78 RPM copy of Ricky Nelson – Poor Little Fool/Don’t Leave Me This Way – Imperial Records # 5528. This song hit #1 on the Billboard charts in July of 1958 and remained at #1 for 2 weeks and on the charts for 15 weeks total. Of special interest, this is the very first song to ever hit the #1 spot after the Billboard Charts were established.

What makes this record unique is the fact that it is an original Dealer Stock copy which was never sold. I bought out the contents of an old record store in Pennsylvania several years ago and aquired many unsold copies of various musical genres of 78 RPM records.

Dealer stock does not mean that the record has never been played as some sellers may lead you to believe. Back in the 50’s, most record stores had listening booths. You would pick a selection from the rack and if you liked it, you bought it. If you didn’t like it, you put it back on the shelf.

I clean each record that I sell and visually and audibly grade them in accordance with Goldmine standards.

This record grades audibly and visually as an M-. I never use M unless the record is still sealed. The record itself is very shiny, The labels are very clean, no scuffs, scrathes, etc. This record looks, sounds and plays as if it were a brand new copy right off the rack. Those of you who have dealt with me know that I am very conservative about grading my records. I test play every record on my Dual ULM turntable which is fitted with a 2.7 mil 78 RPM stylus.

This is the finest copy of this record you will find anywhere.
