CAB CALLOWAY & HIS ORCHESTRA – SOMEBODY STOLE MY GAL / YOU DOG
ORIOLE 2382 | ORIGINAL 78 RPM | GRADE: E- (EXCELLENT MINUS)
HISTORIC ORIOLE FIVE-AND-DIME STORE LABEL!
An original vintage Oriole 78 RPM pressing from the historic American budget-label era. Oriole records were originally marketed through McCrory's five-and-dime stores and later became part of the American Record Corporation family of labels. These affordable records brought jazz, blues, and popular dance music into American homes during the 1920s and 1930s.
A fascinating piece of early American recording history, particularly appealing to collectors of Cab Calloway, vintage hot jazz, Depression-era records, and original store-label 78 RPM pressings.

Standard 78 rpm Grading System:
N- = like new (a grade rarely given)
E+ = a virtually perfect copy with only minor signs of having been played
E = very slight signs of wear, maybe some minor scuffing and/or light scratches but a clean copy with little groove wear
E- = slightly above average copy, some groove wear and minor blemishes but a very decent copy
V+ = an average copy, signs of use, some groove wear but still a decent copy. Music overrides surface noise noticeably.
V = wear, scuffing, light scratches but a very playable copy
V- getting scary!...will play but is quite worn.
G+ = a playable copy but very very worn
G plays through. Not really a pleasurable listening experience.
G- = wall hanger
P = once might have been a phonograph record.
