Description

Up for auction is a 1932 pre war country / old time / hillbilly 78 rpm record by Jimmie Tarlton & Tom Darby on Montgomery Ward 4335 (for Victor). <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

The sides are 13 Years In Kilbie Prison / Once I Had A Fortune.

Dead wax has the "V.E." imprint from being pressed with the Victor master...I am assuming.

I am listing some records from several 78 rpms hunting trips across the south.

Grading System:

  • NM = near new condition

  • E = barely played, extremely close to near new condition

  • VG = played, but not abused condition, should play very well, may have light scratches, scuffs

  • G = well played, but should play pretty well, will have deeper scratches, scuff; may have some background noise, scratches, scuffs, wear

  • P = well used, pretty bad condition, lots of background noise

Grades E- with excellent gloss and great sound...just a bit of distortion in the loud passages that can probably be minimized or alleviated with proper equalization equipment. Very clean record with very few light sleeve scuffs. No scratches. Very shallow storage warp that does not affect tracking or audio whatsoever.

This record will be very securely packaged for shipment. Please let me know if you would like your records insured.

I will combine shipping with other single listing 78s I am auctioning for just an additional .50 cents each.

I try my best to describe and grade these as accurately as possible...I will gladly accept returns if you are not satisfied.

Good luck!
