Description

This is one of only two known original copies of this local Michigan LP that was recently re-issued on Rockadelic Records. Released on the local Grand Rapids A&R label(#21227)and is titled "The Book Of Music Volume 1". Totally unknown until a copy turned up last year this is one of the rarest U.S. LP's out there. Music ranges from melodic folk psych ala Neil Young to over the top hard rock not unlike Grand Funk/Theft. Sample cuts can be heard at the Rockadelic website. Songs include the amazing long track "My Side Of The Mountain" that includes psych effects, wailing guitars and lots of time changes going from soft folk to HEAVY rock. Other cuts include "Lonely Man", "Bit 'O The Soul", "fact Or Fiction", "Everybody's Laughin", "A Thought" and more. Cover is VG with considerable age wear, a split top seam and a name sticker on back(see below). Vinyl is a very strong VG with some visible marks but plays so well that this copy was used to master the Rockadelic release. Originals were all sold at their local High School and there's a very good chance this LP will never be offered again as the other copy is secured away in one of the top psych collections in the world!!
