Megarare spanish EP edition. This is so good I had difficulties believing it when I first played it and now it’s time to let it go. “Marcha de los dioses ” is such an amazingly great tune that will simply make you go wild with its’ great flute playing, cool beat and superb piano - as good as some of the better stuff on Companionship. I can’t stop raving about this EP. Released on a tiny label mainly for “hotel records” etc in 1965, this is something I have/had never seen, nor heard of before (they are also known for pressing small “runs”/quantity of their releases, hence the dificulty to find any of the releases in decent shape today). Tremendous playing on all tracks. These are fantastic musicians with a very cool feel as to how the tracks they play should be played. Easily as good as many of the big euro titles by Sahib, Woode, McNair and many more – this is why I mantion Sahib in the title. He does not play anywhere on the EP. Listen to them and enjoy. I don’t think you’ll see another copy in the “near” future. Tino was apparently a Mexican drummer who was probably living here in Spain during tyhe 60’s. Fantastic loud and raw/gritty recording. Easily one of the biggest euro gems, jazz wise, I have ver come across.
