The winner of this auction will get to choose any 5 (FIVE) soundtrack albums from among all the LPs seen in these seven photos. Almost all the records are in VG++ condition or better, with the majority either excellent, near-mint, or unplayed.

Some have price stickers on them or slight cover wear. If you have questions about a particular release, whether it’s original, an import or reissue, condition, etc., please let me know. Many have been kept in archival sleeves to protect both the albums and the covers.
There are a lot of near-mint import albums of American film scores that were never re-released.

THE LEGENDARY VICTOR YOUNG: Rare, sealed album featuring Harry Sukman. Twelve film music cues performed by Harry Sukman (piano), Laurindo Almeida (guitar), plus bass and percussion. Citadel CT-6024 is SEALED!


SCREEN MOOD, Vol. 5 (JAPANESE-ONLY RELEASE FROM 1958!):
This Japanese release from 1958 is so rare I've never heard of it, never seen it listed anywhere, and a search of the internet doesn't turn it up anywhere!  Nippon Columbia YL 113 is a monophonic release, in a soft (but solid) sleeve that were the norm back then.  The 33 1/3 RPM LP contains two cues from Malcolm Arnold's THE KEY, five cues from Dimitri Tiomkin's THE OLD MAN AND THE SEA, and seven cues from Alfred Newman's A CERTAIN SMILE.  Purple-red Columbia label shows spindle wear, and album has definitely been played a bit.  Album is in VG- condition with clicks, pops, and wear, and a few scratches, but no skips.  But you probably have the music anyway.  What makes it so lovely is its rarity and the lovely cover, which is in near-mint condition.  Back cover shows some minor ring discoloration and a couple of small smudges at top of back, but other than that it's excellent.  Ink stamp on back probably a name or company or something.


MUSIC FROM ALFRED HITCHCOCK FILMS:  Varese 704.250 offers fabulous re-recordings with Charles Ketcham leading The Utah Symphony Orchestra in music from John Williams’ FAMILY PLOT, Dimitri Tiomkin’s STRANGERS ON A TRAIN, Franz Waxman’s SUSPICION, and Roy Webb’s NOTORIOUS.  Album is in near-mint condition.
