I'm placed up for purchase five 45rpm 7" records by The Rolling Stones titled "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction", "Get Off of My Cloud", "Mother's Little Helper", "Ruby Tuesday", and "Street Fighting Man". Released by London Records from 1965 to 1968. I've owned these since they came out and have played them probably less than six times each including today to check their condition. Condition is good, no skips, pops, or scratches. I worked in the entertainment business here in Hollywood and got a lot of records. Often times duplicates. "Satisfaction" was a hit, giving the Stones their first number one in the US. In the UK, the song initially was played only on pirate radio stations, because its lyrics were considered too sexually suggestive. They refer to sexual frustration and commercialism. ... "Get Off of My Cloud" was released in September 1965 in the United States. It topped the charts. The Stones have said that the song is a reaction to their suddenly greatly enhanced popularity and deals with their aversion to people's expectations of them after the success of "Satisfaction". ... "Mother's Little Helper" spent nine weeks on the US Billboard Hot 100, peaking at No. 8. It is a folk rock song with Eastern influences. Its lyrics deal with the popularity of prescribed tranquilisers like Valium among housewives and the potential hazards of overdose or addiction. ... "Ruby Tuesday" was released in January 1967. The song became the band's fourth number-one hit in the United States. It was released as the B-side to "Let's Spend the Night Together". Due to the controversial nature of the A-side's sexually charged lyrics, "Ruby Tuesday" earned more airplay and ended up charting higher in the US. ... "Street Fighting Man" sparked controversy in the United States upon release, many radio stations boycotting the song and refusing to play it because it directly addressed growing violence at political events throughout 1968.
