Description
49th Parallel. This is a really rare Canadian rock band from 1970. We were able to find a website that has one copy of this record for sale at $320. Check them out at: www.geocities.com/badcatrecords/49thparallel.htm. They have some great info about this band as well. Basicly though, they are hard to put into a category, leaning toward a cross between British Mod/Psych/Pop (with strings!) The songs are all SO different, not all have strings. Some sound like The Guess Who, and on the track "Close the Barn Door" they mirror The 13th Floor Elevators. So, all that enticement aside, this is a COMPLETELY RARE TEST PRESSING! You think it's hard to find this as a regular LP, we've upped the ante! It comes to you in a plain white paper sleeve, with a white label that that states"Test Pressing from H.V. Waddell Co." The record has some surface scuffs here and there, and there are two scratches on one side which cause a little surface noise. But this is still very listenable, well recorded. There is still a very nice sheen to the record.
