You're looking at a 45 RPM on Come To Me, by a group called the Montereys. It's something that I've had hanging around for awhile. (I'm not the original owner). Initial research on these guys turned up nothing, so I played both sides trying to get a clue. To me it sounds like surf music, sorta in the vein that the pre-Beatlemania surf bands were. My though is bolstered by the fact that one side is vocal and one side is instrumental. It's on Varsity records (#84) out of Tennessee. As I said, I played both sides. I do not like the terms mint, near mint, very good, etc. It's to subjective. What you would consider mint I might not, and vice versa. What's even worse are those who add a plus, or minus. Even near mint is a stupid designation. It's either mint, or it's not, and is this case it's not. Does it play thru? Yes to both sides, but I can't be responsible if your equipment is so sensitive to pick up tremors on Mars. There is surface noise, but it does not obliterate the sound. I will put this in a pretty new white sleeve for your listening & dancing pleasure. If you have other questions, please ask, or if you have info to add, please do.
