Description

4 In conversation is an ultrarare Jazz LP from Holland from 1966 on the unknown (private?) Obelisk label. It was made by Frans van Bergen, Arend Nijenhuis, Martin van Duynhoven and Paul Ruys. Martin van Duynhoven later went to Group 1850 when he played on their famous Paradise now LP. This record is impossible to find, this is the first copy I have ever come across in 25 years of collecting records.

From the encyclopedia of Dutch music (muziekencyclopedie.nl):
Frans van Bergen was causing a stir with a non-commercial, difficult to find, but high-quality record: In Conversation 4. Frank Visser wrote in the Jazz World magazine: "far above the average international jazz-level".

Original Dutch pressing on the Obelisk label from 1966. The record and the laminated flipback sleeve are in excellent condition.
