4 American Record Company Records--78 RPMs
These records are a VERY RARE blue colored shellac.  The material breaks and crumbles very easily and therefore they don't last without care.  They were made for the gramophone and are one-sided.  They were made in approx. 1905 by the American Record Company ran by Hawthorne, Sheble, and Prescott and produced in Springfield, MA. They are:          1) "Moonlight" Regimental Band Of the Republic No. 031185.  It has the number 68 imprinted on the back.  It measures approx. 10 3/4" in diameter.  There is a very small crack on edge measuring 5/8" long (see photos).  The rest has some surface scratches but still intact.           2) "You're My Hearts Desire, I Love You, Nellie Dean" Male Quartette No. 031297.  The printed ink title has rubbed off and is hard to read but overall label still intact (see photos). It measures approx. 10" in diameter.  It has some surface scratches due to age and wear.          3) "Over The Hot Sands" (Patrol) American Symphony Orchestra No. 031339.  It has a number 24 also printed on label (see photo).  It measures approx. 10" in diameter.  It has some surface scratches due to age and wear.          4) "El Matador" Curtis Mexican Orchestra No. 031369.  It measures approx. 10" in diameter.  It has some surface scratches due to age and wear.  All of the records have the same label: Indian smoking a long pipe, holding records, and listening to a gramophone Logo.  It says "Music Hath Charms" Hawthorne, Sheble, and Prescott Sales Managers Springfield, Mass USA.
