Description
This listing offers THREE of Folkways' two-LP sets from 1952, edited by Harry Smith. The boxes have a copyright date on the back label of 1967 and 1969. Each of the three boxed two-LP sets has a booklet inside detailing information about the music. Included is Volume 1: Ballads (FA 2951); Volume 2: Social Music (FA 2952); and Volume 3: (FA2953). There are 6 records in all.
There's a light scratch perpendicular to the grooves of the Ballads no. 3 side; it doesn't look too deep. See last photo. Then there is a slight scuffed area (not a scratch) across two tracks of side no. 1 of the Songs set. I do not know how well these play, but EVERYTHING ELSE (all other tracks) appeasr to have had very little play if any at all. All records have paper sleeves in good condition; they appear to be original to the sets.
These came from a very nice collection donated by a meticulous audiophile and included many well-cared-for LPs, and we are pleased to be able to offer them here.
