Description
A rare set of Johanna Martzy's highly sought-after recordings for Columbia of J.S. Bach's Unaccompanied Sonatas for Violin.
This set was bought new by my father-in-law and has remained in the family ever since.
Although not unmarked visually, there are very few clicks to be heard across all 6 sides and nothing that could be reasonably described as detracting significantly from the performace. (Auditioned using Thorens/AT/Linn/Ruark system). I should describe as them as excellent.
The sleeves naturally show some signs of wear, but have no rips or tears.
The reserve for these remarkable LPs is set at less than two-thirds that demanded by dealers, so if your collection lacks this essential gem, you could snap up a bargain and an investment.
