Description

Before bidding, please take the time to read about shipping costs at the end of this listing. Shipping for these records is not $4 to the USA

Beautiful UK first pressing of Esquire 32-045, Sonny Rollins' towering Saxophone Colossus from 1957.   The lightweight fully laminated flipback jacket is Ex+, just a tiny chip to the spine and tiny wear to the tips, as usual little discolouring, not surface dirt.  No laminate loss or damage.  The LP is top NM.  RVG hand inscribed in run-out.  Replacement new lined inner, but the original NM lined innerbag included.  Fabulous recording, astounding sound... well known for blowing the pants clean off of the US issue.  If you love jazz and you collect records you NEED this LP. Bid hard, this is not an easy record to find, especially in this condition. If this listing looks familiar, well observed, I sold my spare copy a couple of years ago.heck all the pics..and make the most of the enlargement facility!

Check the photos and make the most of the enlargement facility.

The purge of the collection continues. This batch has something for all.

Check my other listings, my feedback, and bid with confidence.  Any reserves are realistic.  Good luck!

Regulars will know that I keep my descriptions brief and to the point.  If you are looking, I figure you will know what you are looking at.  I would not presume to condescend nor would I wish to bore you to death.

All records checked on EMT 930/929/TSD15 and when necessary, cleaned on a Loricraft PRO 2.

GRADINGS:

MINT (M): Brand new and unplayed. Perfect, no indications of being handled or played. I only use this grading if I know for sure the record has not been played.

NEAR MINT (NM): The vinyl is virtually flawless, clean and shiny.  Very minor, barely visible bag wear may be permitted, but no scratches. The disc should play with no audible noise. Jacket is as close to perfect as possible.

EXCELLENT (EX), Disc plays near perfectly, but may have minor paper scuffs that do not interfere with the sound quality. There can possibly be a non-sounding hairline mark or two but nothing that is obvious or affects play. Vinyl is clean and shiny. Minor disc impression or slight corner and or spine creases, no seam splits. Jacket is clean with little wear.

Because I have never collected records that are a lower grade than EX, you won’t be finding any for sale here.

Recorded Delivery world-wide shipping as always for security and peace of mind.

25 US Dollars for the USA, the Far East and Australia, 18 US Dollars for Europe, 9 US Dollars for the UK.  Discounts for multiple purchases.  Shipping is always at cost, including packing materials.  I’m in the UK, so I obviously won’t be using USPS.  Shipping will be calculated for each buyer and included in my invoice.  There is NO flat rate.

I ensure that my records arrive with you in the same lovely condition they leave me. They are sandwiched between two 34 x 34 x 1.25 cm sheets of expanded polystyrene and securely packaged in sturdy professional custom made cruciform card wraps.  I do not use bits of old cardboard box or those cheap flimsy envelope style mailers.

Records are always packed out of the jackets to avoid any splits.

I don’t like to say this, but if you cannot pay, please do not bid.
