Description

The Beatles Yesterday and Today• 2nd State Butcher Cover

Descriptive Details Contents The Beatles: Yesterday and Today
2nd State Butcher Cover
Capitol T 2553 — mono LP Condition The front of the cover is very crisp and white; a gorgeous cover & clean enough to be perfect for framing though there are a few imperfections. Three of album's corners have a small nick. The edge of the lower left corner of the pasted on cover slick has several small wrinkles noticeable only if you are very close to the cover & the light is just right. There is a hint of (subtle) scuffing along a portion of the top of the cover around George's & John's head. The bottom edge of the cover has several scuff marks and about a 1.5" seam split along the rightmost portion of this bottom edge (shown in the bottom photo; note that the close up photo exaggerates the seam split slightly). Likely repairable, though not my specialty. The rear of the cover has some scuffing and light ring wear. The original rainbow labeled LP when positioned and examined close to a bright light appears VG+ with some non-feelable surface marks; no spindle marks. Info A nice cleaner-than-the-typical 2nd state Butcher Cover relative to most copies auctioned on ebay. The black V-shaped section of Ringo's shirt is clearly evident under the white background of the pasted-over cover slick. This shirt is on the right side of the cover to the right of the top portion of the luggage trunk. Although easy to spot when examining the cover, the shirt does not photograph well and thus is very hard to see in photographs. Endeavoring to show the shirt, the middle photograph was underexposed making the shirt easier to see. Will ship with 2 LP covers, one extra to insulate the LP while in transit, which brings the ship weight/fee up slightly. Ships with an inner sleeve though not the original. Post office fee for insurance, strongly suggested, will be determined after purchase. Photos NOTE: (1) Higher resolution photos are available upon request. (2) As many computer displays vary in brightness, the photos in this ad may be too dark or too bright. Upon request I can provide photos that correct for this. LP Grading, Payment & Shipping Terms, Etc. Grading Descriptions Follow the link to learn more about the grading used to describe the condition of LPs. NOTE: Unless indicated otherwise, the Seller applies MINT & NM as follows. MINT refers to an LP that is factory sealed. NM is the highest grade given to an open LP and album cover. A NM visual grade indicates an LP that is not sealed AND visually appears pristine/unplayed. A NM play grade indicates an LP plays exactly as or is extremely close to how a particular album would play if it was just unsealed. To determine visual grades, LPs are positioned close to a bright light which indicates flaws not noticeable in other lighting conditions. Payment Terms Buyer must contact the Seller within 3 days after the auction closes. If Paypal is used, payment must be received by the Seller within 3 days after auction closes, or within 10 days when other payment options are used. Should payment not be received, Seller reserves the right to cancel the auction and ebay might file an unpaid bidder action. Acquiring LPs and creating ads takes a lot of time & expense, so please be a responsible bidder. Packaging LPs ship properly packaged to eliminate all but the most severe abuse. For used LPs, insulation is placed inside boxsets and single LPs are re-sealed to prevent movement. Instead of single-walled mailers, odd-sized albums such as some boxsets ship in a significantly robust double-walled box and with the albums insulated from the inside of the mailer via a type of double boxing. For single LPs, the most robust LP mailers are used. These mailers were selected after rejecting many alternative LP mailers that did not meet critical requirements for rigid protection to the mailer's corners. Excellent packaging—though the supplies, included in the ship fee, sometimes cost more than typical. Ship Fees Shipment for 1 standard sized LP in the USA via Media Mail is $4.90, which includes the cost of shipping materials. LPs weighing greater than 180 grams, gatefold covers, box sets, & multiple LPs will likely increase this fee. Shipment via Priority Mail, which some feel incurs less mischief while in transit and has a significantly quicker delivery time, is available within the USA as an extra cost option. Payments must clear prior to shipment. Reduce Shipping Costs Will ship multiple auction wins from any current auction in one package whenever possible. If interested in auctions closing on different dates, please email your intent to bid on other auctions prior to the closing date of your initial auction win. Insurance Purchasing insurance is optional though recommended as the Seller is not responsible should the post office damage or misplace a package. Although the Seller will assist in filing an insurance claim, the Seller cannot provide refunds for lost or damaged shipments as any such occurrence is the fault of the shipper not the Seller. Feedback Policy Our transaction will be a positive experience. Once you're satisfied, please leave feedback. In turn, Seller will leave feedback which will close his responsibilities and our current transaction.
