2 "SCIENCE MAGAZINE OF THE AIR" RADIO SHOW TRANSCRIPTION DISCS PRODUCED BY NBC TRANSCRIPTIONS. TWO COMPLETE 30 MINUTE RADIO PROGRAMS ON THESE TWO 16 INCH, VINYL, 33 1/3 RPM DISCS. THESE DISCS WERE ISSUED TO RADIO STATIONS FOR BROADCAST ONLY AND NOT AVAILABLE TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC. VERY RARE!
These are excellent programs featuring dramatizations of the discoveries of science. They are circa 1946. I could not find any information about these shows - Encyclopedia Britannica is mentioned and it's possible that these are Armed Forces rebroadcasts of a program sponsored by Encyclopedia Britannica broadcast to troops overseas
Program #53 titled "How Your Baby Grows" with Stephen M. Corey of Encyclopedia Britannica and The University Of Chicago
Program #89 titled "The Rise Of Industry" with Roy Chapman Andrews (famous explorer). This program is about the life of Andrew Carnegie advances in steel production
Discs are in Excellent+ or Better Condition with Excellent+ or better Sound, Beautiful Discs!
Due to their size, 16 inch discs will not play on most standard turntables. For $10 I can include a CD transfer of both discs for the buyer
