Description
For your consideration are two very rare 1954 cult radio programs on 16” acetates 33 RPM entitled Space Patrol. Acetates are rare because they are the discs in which record copies are made from. Here is some information about the program:
Space Patrol was a live, action-adventure saga, and one of the first of what came to be called “space operas.” The very first episodes were just fifteen minutes long at first, and began as a local daily TV show airing in Los Angeles, California, debuting on March 9, 1950 on station KECA, and running five days a week (KECA — now KABC, Channel 7 — held the call sign KECA-TV from 1949 to 1954). The show was an instant hit, and made television history by being the first regular live west coast morning program beamed by satellite to the east coast.
The show made history again when a 30-minute episode was the subject of the first U.S. experimental 3D television broadcast on April 29, 1953. Eventually, the show morphed into a fast-paced drama with an action peak every five minutes. Within ten months, kinescopes of the show were being picked up for national distribution by ABC TV and radio (which aired the audio itself as a program) and sent to selected affiliates around the country. The show was eventually expanded to a weekly half-hour Saturday morning network show on December 30, 1950, and two (later cut down to one) radio episodes per week, and was soon was a huge nationwide hit, running for five years (1950-1955). I think the records are in very good condition. Of course, I have no way of playing the records due to their size. The record covers are marked Sonic Professional Recording discs from Sonic Recording Products Inc. 59 Mill Road, Freeport L.I. New York.
I have two more radio programs I am listing separately entitled, Cupid Cousins Audition.

Customer satisfaction is very important to me, so please do not hesitate to drop me a line before leaving anything other than a positive feedback comment or all 5 stars on the seller ratings as this is what I strive for. Thanking you in advance for taking this additional time to personally let me know how I am doing :). Please do let me know immediately if you receive your item damaged in transit, or in any other condition other than what is described in writing or pictured in this listing or any others that I offer on eBay.

To all international bidders: Please do not ask me to ship your item first class international mail. I am unable to accommodate such requests because the US Postal Service does not offer tracking information on items shipped this method. In addition, please do not ask me to undervalue the final bid price or mark the package as "gift". I cannot accommodate these kinds of requests either because it is against the law. Finally, any and all customs charges, taxes, duties, and the like are the sole responsibility of the buyer and are not included on the eBay invoice. Please check with your local customs office for more details.
