For your consideration, a very rare treat for the vintage record and radio show collector, as well as for Lone Ranger fans. These are two original 16-inch acetate transcription discs containing two full episodes of The Lone Ranger radio show, with labels marked "WXYZ" radio in Detroit, which was the station that created and produced the original Lone Ranger radio show. The labels have "American Broadcasting Company Inc." printed on them, and then "WXYZ" is type-written on the label with the rest of the program information. WXYZ was ABC-owned during the time these records were cut. One episode is "A Dog Named Deuce," the other is "The Unusual Rod Morgan," from June and April 1949, respectively. 33 rpm, played inside-out.

I don't grade records and I don't think it applies in this case. They look good for 66 year-old acetates. In fact, they looked so good I wasn't sure they were acetates until I felt the three extra holes under the label. I played a little of each side and they sound very good, but I didn't listen to them all the way through. The generic sleeves are in ok condition. Please keep in mind that you'd need a large record player in order to actually play these; most only accommodate 12" records. I have some other Lone Ranger/other program transcriptions that I'll be selling soon, but this is only one of two lots I'll be listing with full episodes on ABC/WXYZ acetates.
