Description
This is an American Box Set of Two 33.3 RPM Monaural Long Playing Records titled "THE RURAL BLUES" from 1964.. Label / Number is RBF (Record, Book and Film Sales Inc.) RF 202X. Samuel B. Charters compiled and annotated this fine collection as a study of the vocal and instrumental resources of the Rural Blues. Among the artists are Furry Lewis, Sleepy John Estes, Blind Willie Johnson, Lightnin' Hopkins, Robert Johnson, Bukka White and Blind Willie McTell. Selections include "From Four Until Late", "If I Get Lucky", "Down The Highway", "Nobody's Fault But Mine", "One Kind Favor", "Standing At The Crossroads", "Mean Old Frisco", "I Can't Stand It" and "Key To The Highway". Records have a few light scuffs and occasional minor surface noise, but play well with fine fidelity. Labels have light wear and scuffing. Box has some wear, corner scuffs and a small name whited out on the back. An eight page booklet is also included.
