Description
The 1987 UK 1st Press THE SHAMEN DROP 12” Vinyl LP is a highly sought-after piece for music enthusiasts and collectors alike. This high-fidelity record, featuring the iconic duo The Shamen and produced by Mike Hedges and Wilf Smarties, showcases a unique blend of underground/alternative, indie, psychedelic rock, and post-punk styles. Housed in a cardboard sleeve with original inner and cover, this first pressing from Moksha Recordings (catalogue number SOMALP 1) is a stereo LP on black vinyl at 33 RPM. A must-have for fans of electronic music from the 1980s, this LP captures the essence of that era's music scene.
The outer sleeve is a nice clean copy. Colours are vivid and true, text are clear. There are no observable issues with discolouration, staining or fading. There are no tears or splits along the outer edges and there’s no flattening of the cover.
Inside sleeve again is a nice clean copy with no staining, tearing or splits.
Vinyl upon first impressions is a clean, clear and glossy copy. However, there are a couple of superficial, surface marks. The only playback issues heard during playbacks was a faint crackle on the silent transitions between tracks. It wasn’t heard on the actual playing tracks. There are no sound drop out. Vocals and Music are clear and crystal. That’s it. Centre labels appear to be free from any observational deterioration and staining.
Overall, a great copy and more-so, it’s a first uk release.
