1983 Glen Campbell Country Closeup Radio Program w/ Eddie Rabbitt Parts 1 & 2
Country Closeup – “Program 244: week of October 31, 1983” and “Program 245: Week of November 7, 1983.” (Narwood 244 & 245). “Country Closeup” was a one hour program hosted by Glen Campbell that each week focused on interviews with and recordings by a specific artist. Often the interview segment gives a background on the song and inside stories from the industry. This is a two-part program broadcast on successive weeks and features singer and songwriter who Eddie Rabbitt talks about his career and music. Rabbitt began as a songwriter in the late 1960s, spring boarding to a recording career after composing hits such as "Kentucky Rain" for Elvis Presley in 1970 and "Pure Love" for Ronnie Milsap in 1974. Later in the 1970s, Rabbitt helped to develop the crossover-influenced sound of country music prevalent in the 1980s with such hits as "Suspicions" and "Every Which Way but Loose." He died in 1998. The programs features these songs, “Hearts on Fire”; “I Can’t Help Myself”; “Rocky Mountain Music”; “Drinkin’ My Baby Off My Mind”; “Every Which Way But Loose”; “Step By Step”; “Two Dollars in the Juke Box”; “You Can’t Run From Love”; Pour Me Another Tequila”; “You Put the Beat In My Heart”; “Nothing Like Falling In Love”; “Someone Could Lose a Heart Tonight”; “I Should Have Married You”; “I Love a Rainy Night”; “You Don’t Love Me Anymore”; “I Don’t Know Where To Start”; “Drivin’ My Life Away”; “Gone to Far”; “I Just Want to Love You”; Suspicions”; and “You and I.” Includes cue sheets. Records are in VG condition (thee is some label wear on disc 1 and one cut on disc 2 has a scratch that causes clicks.). Generic white cover. Postage will be paid by purchaser.
