Description

The product is a rare 1980 UK 7" vinyl single by The Specials, featuring the tracks "Braggin'" and "Tryin' Not To Lie", and “Rude Boys Outa Jail”, released on 2 Tone Records. This limited, first pressing edition promo pressing is on translucent red vinyl and comes in a paper company logo sleeve. Produced by Dave Jordan, the record showcases the ska and 2 tone style of the era, with original cover art in excellent condition. A must-have for collectors of 1980s reggae and ska music from the United Kingdom.
THE TRANSLUCENT RUBY RED EDITION IS THE RAREST LIMITED ED OF A SET OF PROMO, NOT FOR SALE SINGLES, THAT WAS INTENDED TO BE INCLUDED WITH THE 1980 UK FIRST PRESSING OF THE SPECIALS’ ALBUM MORE SPECIALS. THE RUBY RED COLOUR CAN ONLY BE SEEN WHEN HELD UP LIGHT.
The Two Tone Paper Company Sleeve is showing clear signs of its age and wear. It is creased, and discoloured. Please refer to the photographs I have taken of this item. Still, there are no splits or tears along the seems. There is a green sticker stuck to it.
The 7” single is in superb condition with barely a mark on it. Labels are clean without any obvious signs of damage, fading and deterioration. No issues were heard during playback. An incredible vinyl copy from 1980!! 45 years old. Vinyls in this condition is a rarity in itself. Considering what this single is…
