Up for your Consideration is this 1976 Picture Disc/LP by Pop/Rock-Hard Rock Band “Boston” titled "Boston". Yes this is yet another wonderful piece of Music that I have acquired… I have selected part of a Bio., Review and listed the tracks from www.allmusic.com. …this Album was put out in the Epic Records in 1976…#34188 .this actual Picture Disc/LP was not on the list…but there was a Album with the cover like this and  with all of the same songs it was rated 4 ½ Stars…The Record doesn’t look like it has never been played I would call it in Very Excellent Condition… the LP cover is in Real Good Condition… the shrink wrap has a tear in the back  …..I have acquired about 2000 pieces of music from CD’s, 45"s, LP's, Cassettes & Reel to Reel's...which I will be listing over the next several months...I don't know allot about music and grading but I can tell if something is in Excellent Condition or not and will list accordingly.. unless noted all paperwork is with the piece of music I am offering and if there are scratches I will also note that- if I have left anything out please email me with any questions…thank you for looking and good luck on your bidding<><... Playing of this record will result in surface noise"       Biography                                                                    by Jason Ankeny   The arena rock group behind one of the fastest-selling debut albums in history, Boston was essentially the vehicle of studio wizard Tom Scholz, born March 10, 1947, in Toledo, OH. A rock fan throughout his teen years, he began writing songs while earning a master's degree at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. After graduation, he began work for Polaroid, and set about constructing his own 12-track recording studio in the basement of his home, where demos were recorded that earned Scholz and vocalist Brad Delp a contract with Epic in 1975. Although some recording and overdubs were later done in Los Angeles, the 1976 release of Boston consisted largely of tapes recorded in Scholz's basement. (By then, the lineup had coalesced around Scholz, Delp, guitarist Barry Goudreau, bassist Fran Sheehan, and drummer John "Sib" Hashian.) Boston spawned three hit singles ("More Than a Feeling," "Long Time," and "Peace of Mind"), and shot immediately to the top of the charts, remaining the best-selling pop debut effort in history before it was supplanted by Whitney Houston's first album in 1986.   Review                                                                                  by Vik Iyengar   Boston is one of the best-selling albums of all time, and deservedly so. Because of the rise of disco and punk, FM rock radio seemed all but dead until the rise of acts like Boston, Tom Petty, and Bruce Springsteen. Nearly every song on Boston's debut album could still be heard on classic rock radio decades later due to the strong vocals of Brad Delp and unique guitar sound of Tom Scholz. Tom Scholz, who wrote most of the songs, was a studio wizard and used self-designed equipment such as 12-track recording devices to come up with an anthemic "arena rock" sound before the term was even coined. The sound was hard rock, but the layered melodies and harmonics reveal the work of a master craftsman. While much has been written about the sound of the album, the lyrics are often overlooked. There are songs about their rise from a bar band ("Rock and Roll Band") as well as fond remembrances of summers gone by ("More Than a Feeling").
