Description

This is an exceptional item: an original pressing of Hawkwind's classic 1973 album signed by the band when they played the National Stadium, Dublin in 1974. Lemmy was still their bass player at the time (before he formed Motorhead) and the other members of the band on that night were Dave Brock, Simon King, Nik Turner and Del Deltmar.
The double album is famous for the trippy foldout sleeve designed by regular collaborator Barney Bubbles. This particlular copy is in VG+ condition but unfortunately the previous owner has signed her name on three of the label stickers (see photos). The condition of the vinyl is probably closer to Excellent with very little surface noise.
The real significance of this record for collectors is of course the signatures. From what I can make out Lemmy, Nik Turner, Del Deltmar and dancer Stacia have all signed the ticket for the concert which was then attached to one section of the sleeve of the record. There is also another signature that I can't decipher as it is made up of symbols. It could possibly be that of founder member Dave Brock. I have photographed the ticket and flipped the image around so that the printed text can be seen more easily. It reads "Hawkwind in Concert, National Stadium, Monday 4th February".
Also included is a clipping from an Irish newspaper containing a review of the gig which I found inside the sleeve when I bought it. Don't hesitate to contact me with any questions you may have in relation to this item.
