Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. ADVANCE RELEASE WHITE LABEL PROMOTIONAL 2-LP SET original 1972 first pressing of a very Underrated album.
Contains two custom designed inner sleeves
Side A -- is awesome - possibly the best "Ohio" version heard.
Side B -- also very nice - "Southern Man" and "Alabama" are simply great.
Side C -- One LONG song called "Words" - and what a exellent performance - the longest jaming by Neil Young that you'll hear on vinyl.
Side D -- "Soldier" being the highlight
The album contains some of the best live material Neil Young ever commited to vinyl.
At first glance one might think this is a compilation, but the songs are actually taken from television appearance, live recording, outtakes (so mostly rare stuff here) and then there are the songs that have nothing to do with Neil Young (basically side four, with the exception of "Soldier" and "Relativity Invitation"). The album contains songs by Buffalo Springfield, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, and the Stray Gators (so mostly bands that Neil Young was a member of, but oddly enough nothing with Crazy Horse). Also included were artists that don't involve Young were an unknown female chorus (singing "Let Me Call You Sweetheart"), The Tony & Susan Alamo Christian Foundation Orchestra & Chorus (shocking part was learning who Tony Alamo is... a cult leader and pedophile (that certainly changes things)), and then the Beach Boys (yes, the actual Beach Boys). The Beach Boys end the album with "Let's Go Away for Awhile," from Pet Sounds. Nevertheless the album is kind of avant-garde for a Neil Young album and a very collectible album. Our picks for key tracks are "Words" (a haunting, lengthy jam from the Harvest session), "Alabama," (outtake from Harvest) "Southern Man," (a live cover by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young) "Ohio," (another live track by Crosby, Stills Nash & Young from the same concert as "Southern Man") and "Solider" (the only place where one would be able to find it in it's complete entirety).
