Description
PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. Because of that dedication, there should be no need to open a resolution dispute before working with us. Please keep in mind, we would prefer to continue to provide you the opportunity to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our well over +22,000 positive feedback. We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! We have served thousands of satisfied customers - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so.

- CLEAN 1971 British original release in gatefold sleeve and swirl Vertigo labels. The very scarce LP involves master keyboardist Keith Tippets joining key SOFT MACHINE members Robert Wyatt, Nick Evans, Roy Babbingon & Gary Boyle (guitars), Elton Dean with assistance by friends alike, all creating jamming sound pools of complex layered self-composed moods and melodies
Followed up by the grasping Thoughts To Geoff, a 10-mins corker so often in cool shades, veers dissonant and improvisational, which strangely enough becomes more fluid and melodic as it unravels. Even young Gary Boyle (guitarist, out of the legendary Brian Auger's Trinity) manages to follow this difficult track, which had to faded a bit just to just be stopped. In Green & Orange Night Park, Tippett then shows with all three winds holding John Coltrane in the station, until group member Elton Dean pulls off his best solo ever in a fanboy moment! While the other two are providing descending lines behind him which slowly morphs into another lead line, which again had to be terminated by a fade-out in the time constrictions of vinyl space; An Absolutely flabbergasting and jaw-dropping piece.
The flip-side starts on the most difficult Gridal Suite, an Elton Dean improvised piece that he shares well with Phil Howard (just think of side 1 of Soft Machine's '5' album), this track probably being the pause of the album.
Five After Dawn might appear at first to be just as difficult, yet it's not quite the same nature, an impressionist track, evoking early life movement after the dead of night.
After your stupor is segued into surprise, it should normally give into joy and eventually glee. The short but sweet reprise of Soft Machine's thematic works are only but a wink, leading us to Black Horse, which is a bit the book-ending of the opening track ; both tracks are written by group member Nick Evans, a very rhythmic groove with plenty of enthralling arrangements coming complete with a superb guitar solo from future U.K. progressive rock guitar hero, Gary Boyle.
This album was thee one that grabbed all of the sunshine, shadowing all of the players former great albums, and consistently remains exceedingly difficult to find. Highly worthy of the hunt and discovery of an excellent early UK progressive-jazz-rock performances LP.
