Rare Vinyl... Ricotti & Albuquerque, First Wind, Pegasus PeG2, 1971, First Pressing, Matrix info PEG2 A-1 & PEG2 B-1 Progressive Jazz Rock. First Wind was the 1st and possibly only album by UK no 1 vibes player Frank Ricotti & vocalist / songwriter Michael de Albuquerque. it is a very nice chilled out Jazz fusion sort of affair, which in a couple places has undertones of the likes of Steely Dan, BS&T and others of their laid back ilk, Albuquerque has written, or co written most of the tracks on this collection, with three of the exceptions being, James Taylors, "Lo and behold", which is a very good version, and a nice rendition of a John Sebastian/Lovin Spoonful song "Didn't want to have to do it", and a superb version of Spanky & our Gang's/ Scharf & Dorough's "Give a Damn", All in all this is a really good album, well worth listening to again & again.
The Vinyl in appearance is Excellent++ to Mint, but its nearer to mint than ex,there are no marks,it looks as though it has barely been played and still has that deep unspoilt, as new factory sheen, the labels are pristine. It plays beautifully with virtually no surface noise, and just a couple of hardly noticeable minor clicks. The sleeve is Ex-VG with hardly any actual wear, its just a little grubby and there is a slight imprint of the disc on the front & back cover, and there are a couple of scuffs on the bottom of the cloud on the front cover, the spine is good with the text legible.
