This is NOT a promotional copy, NOT Columbia Records, this is different, issued for radio DJ use and the only "DJ"copy I've seen on EBay.

The superior quality recording was used for radio and nightclub use. Unlike the reproduction LP's and Promotional LP's this "DJ" product is different, as the cover and record label is different. Note the bottom of back cover distribution company and the recording times listed on back cover after each song. Also the the "DJ" on the record label.
I was a DJ in the 70"s. the first time I met Billy Joel was in Boulder, Colorado the night Billy rolled out his Stranger tour. Billy was first person I'd seen wear tennis shoes, blue jeans, and sport jacket. That style became very popular. There are some photos of Billy taken that night.
A dear friend of mine was Billy's sound engineer and they traveled world together for years, including the first rock' n' roll tour to go to Cuba.
The Cold Spring Harbor LP was rare, not forsale in most record stores as all his other albums. Billy's piano tuner hooked me up with this record edition. The Cold Spring Harbor Billy speaks and introduces some songs, part of it is recorded live.
I had this LP for over 36 years. This is the only copy I ever found of this LP. I do see they reprinted and distributed this LP in later years under Columbia label.
Now at age 64, I'm selling my unique collectables to collectors who recognize value. Believe it or not, $100 is a bargain, as I paid a lot for it in the 1970's. I don't remember exactly how much, but I remember it being the most I'd paid for LP at that time. You can find reproductions everywhere, it was difficult to find this LP in the 70's, as I had connections to get this one.
I made a cassette recording of it when I got it and never played it again.
