RARE original 1969 first pressing by SAVOY BROWN going under the moniker Warren Phillips & The Rockets was an unknown album to most people. During a break in the studio while recording Savoy Brown's amazing 1969 "A Step Further" album, Dave, Tony and Roger started jamming, picking old garage tunes off the top of their heads. Unknown to them, the engineer had the tapes rolling. After hearing the tapes they decided to record a few more songs and release it as an album. It was originally released in '69 as "Warren Phillips and the Rockets - Rocked Out." It is done in the old Sun Records style, and the original idea was to write phony liner notes about the lost recordings of the "legendary" Warren Phillips. 95% was recorded in one take, and because these Savoy Brown cats can really play they cook up a terrific brew of high energy tunes like "Mean Woman Blues", "Blue Jean Boogie", "Keep A Knocking" and so on....great stuff!

CONDITION: The cover has just a little (very little!) light wear starting at top center, not that noticable and otherwise very nice, solid VG++ and a keeper collectible at that! 

The vinyl is all clean and glossy "EX" (excellent!) to M-, so it's nice!   

      A cool addition to anyone's music library!
