Description

This is a great and i would imagine quite rare item from 1969 , the Beatles fan club christmas flexidisc record (33 1/3 rpm) , lyntone 1970/1971 serial no's.

On the back of the sleeve it says from ascot in berkshire , from weybridge in surrey , fromst johns wood in the borough of marylebone and from apple in the west end , john ringo paul and george send you these tapes of love and greetingd soldered into a collective disc by the iron wrist of maurice cole..

The beatles seventh christmas record.

Lovely pop art picture sleeve and with the ad flyer for the beatles illustrated lyrics book (the gift book of the season 25/-) , no newsletter present with this record ,  also present is the original brown envelope that it was posted in with a postmark for 7th dec 69 .

Type written address on the front for :-

Miss M Tibbatts , 111 Harewood Court , Upper Richmond Rd , SW15 (stamped on the front in red records do not bend) .

Condition of the sleeve is i would say as good as the day it was posted with no tears or marks to the front , there is a curious sort of drawing on the back which i'm not sure is part of the original artwork or was added later but it doesn't look like biro so maybe is meant to be there but i have added a photo of it so please note this point before bidding  , the record is also in good condition with no kinks , few very faint surface scratches ,  the black colour of the vinyl goes patchy when moved in the light but i think all flexidiscs are like that , the ad for the lyric book is also in lovely undamaged condition with no tears but is folded across the middle.

The brown envelope is a bit grubby and torn along the top edge but it has served its purpose by protecting the record sleeve and contents and i guess most of the original envelopes were just thrown away so its a bonus i guess to still have it with the record.

I haven't played it to see what it sounds like so i can't say how it will sound.

A genuine Beatles fan club record now in need of a new home , listed with no reserve.

Any questions please email me and check out my other listings as i have some more rare beatles items to list over the next few days.
