Description

                                                  ***  ATTENTION! **

Please carefully read our entire listing to answer any questions you may have,  including discount shipping rates at end of listing; then contact us directly with any other information you may need.

WITH MUCH APPRECIATION TO ALL OUR CUSTOMERS:  If you have a question on orders received, please contact us.  We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied.   Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music!  We have served thousands of satisfied customers  - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so.

We have a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records.   Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of  2/3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers.

We mail all paid orders out once a week on Fridays/Saturdays.  Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule to Monday.   We strive to keep our shipping and handling costs as close to actual charges as reasonable.  We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order.  Please be aware we have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.

TO OUR REPEAT CUSTOMERS:  We are happy to hold orders to save on shipping.  Please pay your current invoice within five days of auctions ending and, if you request, we will hold your order and reflect a shipping discount for each additional order shipped together in the same parcel.

As always, thank you for your support!

                          USA -ABC Records - 633 - stereo

*CLEAN* Original 1968 first press vinyl of the 2nd and best and last by the talented Candymen ...they were professionals who were the back-up band for Roy Orbison, cut loose making two fine collected albums. Candy Power is underrated nice popsike/garage music w/ some Zombies reminescences.

Includes the original printed inner sleeve....

The Candymen were John Rainey Adkins (lead guitar), Bob Nix (drums), Billy Gilmore (bass), Rodney Justo (vocals), and Dean Daughtry (keys).

Originally known as The Webs ~ the group played the Birmingham Alabama area and also made a few recordings at Ed Boutwell’s studio there.

While performing at the National Peanut Festival in Dothan Alabama, the Webs got the opportunity to back up Roy Orbison, who was so impressed with the band that he hired them on the spot as his touring band, and re-named them the Candymen.

After leaving Orbison, The Candymen went out on their own and gained the respect of their professional peers as a "Musicians Band" by doing a flawless delivery live on stage of the Beatles legendary "Sgt. Peppers" album.

John Rainey and The Candymen dazzled audiences at Steve Paul's "The Scene" in New York City. These nightclub sets included jam sessions with Jimi Hendrix Experience, The Young Rascals, John Entwistle and others.
