ABSOLUTELY FIRST PRESSING OF THIS CLASSIC JANIS JOPLIN ALBUM: BIG BROTHER AND THE HOLDING COMPANY; 1968 THIS ALBUM IS IN SUPERB CONDITION THOUGHOUT, APPEARS VIRTUALLY UNPLAYED; VINYL is definitely NEAR MINT. Cover is Excellent--glossy and graphics POP with color!  THIS IS TRULY A COLLECTOR COPY!! IF YOU DON'T AGREE--LET ME KNOW AND RETURN IT FOR A FULL REFUND--I'LL PAY FOR RETURN SHIPPING! FOLLOWING ARE FIRST PRESSING POINTS--THIS RECORD MEETS THEM ALL! VERY, VERY RARE: Released in a Gatefold cover on a red "360° sound" label with white lettering. Subsequent pressings have different label designs and/or catalogue numbers.

Although Janis Joplin has a release-wide vocal credit (and indeed sings on every song), on the individual song credits, only 'Sam' is credited for vocals on Tracks A1 and B2.

Track A3 is incorrectly credited to Gershwin Bros. on the front cover, though the label correctly credits George Gershwin and DuBose Heyward.

Track B3 is credited to W. M. Thornton on the label, and "Big Mama" Thornton on the front cover.
